In-Home Care Worker

Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assisting and accompanying aged and disabled persons during daily activities
  • Assisting clients with their mobility
  • Performing light domestic assistance
  • Preparing food for clients
  • Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
  • Transportation services
  • Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
  • Doing shopping and running errands
  • Liaising with care coordinators
  • Documenting services provided, incidents and/or accidents, time sheets and updating other records
  • Participating in team meetings, reviews and quality improvement strategies

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Police check or willing to obtain
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Must have a car and Full comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Work with children check

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care and disability (or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in Aged Care, disabilities and mental health
  • Highly encourage applicants from Sydney Eastern Suburbs (in demand) or willingly to travel within the Eastern Suburbs area
  • Mandarin/Cantonese Speaking
  • Arabic Speaking (in demand)
  • Flexible Availability
