What checks do you do on your staff?

All staff undergo reference checks, criminal record checks and working with children checks. In addition, we have an ongoing performance monitoring system to ensure that staff meet the high standards that we hold for all South West Care service providers.

What experience and training do your staff have?

Our staff tend to come to use with years of experience and training in aged and community care. We offer our own independent training assistance for Home Care and Disability studies. Ass staff have current First Aid Certificates and participate in our set training programs which aim to enrich their knowledge of providing first class care to our valued clients.

What are your rates and minimum hours of service?

We have a one hour minimum charge. South West Care’s rates do vary depending on the time of the week and day in which the service/help is required. Please do not hesitate to contact our office for an obligation-free quote for a service.

 

Can I get emergency care at short notice?

Our aim is to be able to provide you with the help you need within as little as an hour if it is required for an emergency/unforeseen event.

Can I change my care worker if I want to?

We do try to make sure that you are matched with a care worker that meets your individual circumstances and needs, however, if there is ever a problem with the care worker you have been allocated- please do let us know and we can look to finding a more suitable care worker to help you.

Can I cancel services?

Yes, however we do request 24 hours’ notice for cancelled services. We do understand that emergency situations can arise, and services may need to be cancelled, so we will do our best to minimise costs to you if such an occasion arises.

What happens if my carer is sick or away?

We can either provide an alternative carer for you on the day, or we can re-schedule your service to suit you.

Do I have to pay the care worker directly?

No, if you are paying for the services privately then we will bill you monthly- there is no need to pay your carer directly.
