The beautiful thing about being a care worker is that it lends to easier work-life balance, as care work usually does not require you to travel far. South West Care aims to allocate you clients close to where you live so that you do not have to travel very far for work.


We offer a wide array of working hours, including day, evening, overnight and weekend hours. As such, we can allocate you hours that fit between family and/or study commitments. You can tell us how many hours you are available to work per day, and each staff member is supported by knowledgeable and caring coordinators.

Some of the qualifications/skills/resources you will require to be successful in your application as a care worker with South West Care include the following:

  • Reliable own vehicle with car registration + car insurance
  • Current NSW Driver’s License
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Working with Children’s check (Paid work)
  • A current Police Check
  • Qualifications or documents in relation to Aged Care or Disability (e.g Cert 3 in Individual Support or Equivalent)

    Job Title: community support workers

    Looking for community support workers that are flexible to obtain a minimum of 10-15 hours weekly. The services are to be provided in the client’s home.

    The community support worker must be able to travel to different client’s residences for services such as

  • Personal Care (Showering, Grooming, Toileting Undressing)
  • Domestic Assistance (Light Household Tasks)
  • Social Transportation (if you drive) – taking the client to appointments etc.
  • Meal preparation according to dietary requirements
  • Respite care
  • The individual must have

  • NSW Police Check current within 3 years
  • Flu vaccination shot (yearly shot)
  • Certificate in Individual Care/ Ageing and/or Disability (e.g enrolment in certificate, masters in nursing, diploma in nursing etc.) – or equivalent
  • Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
  • NSW driving licence – with CAR CTP AND REGISTRATION
  • Immigration grant VISA or Australian citizenship evidence
  • First AID/CPR
